There are a lot of models of notebook computers out there you can choose and that is why, when it comes to picking out one it is hard as you have so many possibilities. But after you read some reviews of systems you are interested in, you will figure out if they are really worth it or not.

Now, we are going to see a Toshiba Satelite l305-s5921 notebook review, to know for sure what the system is capable of. First of all, the computer is priced reasonably at $499, features some decent components inside, a 15.4” display and weighs 6 pounds. So, if you are looking for some basic computing tasking at a notebook computer and you don’t want to spend your entire savings on one, then this should fit your needs precisely. Just don’t expect too much for it, meaning intensive tasking at all.
As design is concerned, the portable system will not make you jump out of the chair, but it will make you say “Yeah, nice”. The Onyx black lid looks really nice and with the central Toshiba logo, you will surely remember the notebook’s manufacturer. When you open the system, you will face the 15.4” display and the glossy black base and as well, glossy black keys. The weight of the notebook doesn’t make it ultra-portable, but with the suitable carrying accessory, you will manage to transport the unit safely and more comfortable. Moreover, the keypad is spacious and you will be able to type in long documents and e-mails, without too much effort. Above the keyboard you will be able to find six media controls and the power button. You can use some keys in combination with the Alt key for extra functionality. For instance, pressing Alt+U and Alt+O will manage you back and forward web pages. Even the touch pad area and the mouse buttons are nicely built and you will be able to navigate easily.
As for connectivity, you are provided with several options. On the right side there is one USB port, the DVD-RW drive and the Kensington lock slot. On the back side is the modem and on the left side you can find the other two USB ports, Ethernet, VGA out and the ExpressCard. In the front of the system is the 4-in-1 memory card reader, volume wheel, the headphone and the microphone jacks and the Wi-Fi on/off switch. The notebook lacks the HDMI port; this is one reason why it is less expensive than the competitors. The 15.4” display has a native resolution of 1280x800, but because it is reflective and glossy, you will have some issues locating the notebook so you can watch videos and movies at a decent quality. Other than that, the contrast is pretty good, but colors were not so vibrant.
Unfortunately, there is no webcam on this portable system, too bad considering that even netbooks have one. Even so, the built-in speakers were sufficient loud to match up with the sound quality you expect. Among some technical parts we can refer to: Intel Pentium processor T3400, Windows Vista Home Premium, 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM, 160GB hard drive, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M and a battery life around 2 hours and a half.
